Perhaps it’s the slight dip in temperatures or the turning of the leaves — there’s something in the air that has me cleaning my house like a madwoman, discovering boxes that have remained unopened since moving into our home 20(!) years ago and giving things away like my life depended on it. Spring cleaning may be the traditional time for folks to clean out their closets, but I’ve found that it’s in the Fall that I feel the urge to start prepping my house for the holidays.
This year in particular, the idea of being home for the holidays takes on a brand new meaning, especially when most of us probably started experiencing cabin fever months ago. With winter approaching and the weather getting colder, it’s been an interesting practice seeing my home through fresh eyes and coming up with ways to stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit. I’d forgotten how something as simple as a brisk walk to break up my day does so much to ease my anxiety.
But enough about me. What have you been doing to stay sane in this season? Aside from buying a trampoline (which I did), what have you changed about your routine that has helped you build resilience? Drop me a line — I would love to hear from you!
